The Anderson Wilde & Harris Charity Golf day was held at the Hertsbourne Country Club in Bushey Heath, Hertfordshire on Thursday, 21st May. The event was held to raise money for Herts Air Ambulance charity.

Team Quills golfers included Russell Smith, Support Analyst, Andy Efstathiou Managing Director and Martin Saunders, Business Consultant (our ‘ringer’!).

The first hurdle for Team Quills was to try and find the first tee which was at the 18th hole. Normally this would be next to the clubhouse but not on this occasion as it was actually in the middle of no-where! After spending 10 minutes trying to find the first tee the game commenced without too much disruption to the group behind them. After two holes, Team Quills mystery ‘ringer’ number two turned up to making the team of four complete.

Although Quills didn’t win overall, Russell picked up a consolation prize for winning the longest drive. Russell said “Despite scoring very poorly and getting horrendously sun burnt I was delighted to pick up a consolation prize for the longest drive, although I have a sneaky feeling that outweighing everyone by five stone probably helped!”. Russell accepted his bottle of red wine and trophy with thanks and said he thoroughly enjoyed the game and said the course was fantastic.
