Hygenic and quick to fit in just 10 minutes, these handle covers provide up to 12 months protection and use silver ion technology. Bacteria spreads on door handles
The Purehold range of door handle covers and push plates use silver ion technology on the coating to kill bacteria and viruses. They have been tested and proven effective against the H1N1 virus (which has very similar characteristics as Covid-19), achieving a 99.99% reduction in viable H1N1 virus particles.
(The World Health Organisation confirms that the COVID-19 virus can survive for up to 72 hours on plastic and stainless steel.)
How does the Purehold door handle technology work?
- Microbes are deposited onto door handle by users
- Silver ions (Ag) penetrate the cell membrane of the microbe
- The ions suffocate the microbe and attack it’s DNA to prevent reproduction
Purehold Lever Handle Cover Dimensions
Lever Cover: will fit any cylindrical pull door handle with a diameter of 19, 20 or 22mm (the three most common sizes in the UK) and a length of 110 – 140 mm long. The covers are easy to attach and simply click into place.

Purehold Lever Handle Cover Fitting Guide
The Purehold antibacterial lever cover will fit most lever door handles around the world. However, there are two variations of the antibacterial lever cover:
- ‘Straight’ lever handles
- ‘Return to door’ (RTD) lever handles
Please identify which type of door handles you have at your site (i.e. straight or RTD) and then order the appropriate antibacterial lever cover.
A measuring gauge is included in every pack.
Purehold Push Plates – Std & XXL
Purehold Push Plate Cover Std: 400 x 95 mm and these will fit on almost any door.
Purehold Push Plate Cover XXL: 600 x 120 mm for larger push plates.
Lasts for one year and when the front panel needs replacing an indicator light will show. Once a starter kit is purchased you can replace just the front panel moving forward.
Purehold PULL Handle Covers
The Purehold PULL will fit any cylindrical pull door handle with a diameter of 19mm, 20mm or 22mm.
Simply clipped over existing pull door handles, the Purehold PULL can be fitted in less than 30 seconds and requires no tools or experience.
Lasts 6 months once fitted, with timestrip indicator to prompt replacement when needed. Available in black or blue.
